ITEC is located in the Charlotte / Monroe area of North Carolina. The Company manufactures products for the electrical and electric utility industries in the United States and for export. ITEC is an original equipment manufacturer of instrument transformer products divided into two application areas; revenue metering and protective relaying. ITEC offers a broad variety of product designs well suited for voltage transformer and current transformer service areas. ITEC also offers various support and technical services relating to the application and in-service needs for instrument transformer products. The company is using highly cost competitive technology in all areas to produce products that are technologically competitive to others available in today's market.

ITEC continues to expand its product and service offering for original designs of instrument transformers from selected 600 volt through 161 kV units. Additionally, ancillary equipment such as external bushing current transformers suitable for use up to 765 kV apparatus is available from ITEC. The company offers dry, molded butyl rubber and oil-filled products for application from generation through transmission and sub-transmission to distribution systems. A range of support services are also available including repair and selected testing activities (per IEEE STD C57.13 Latest revision) of instrument transformer products.

ITEC is made up almost completely of long term, seasoned manufacturing and professional staff skilled in the art of design, manufacturing and testing of instrument transformers. Introduction - Instrument Transformer Equipment Corporation (ITEC) is dedicated to design, manufacturing and sale of instrument transformers over a wide range of applications as outlined in this buyer's guide as well as other electrical apparatus. All ITEC products are in accordance with IEEE STD C57.13 (Latest revision), ITEC, and customer specifications. Tests are conducted in reference to the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

This site contains general physical and performance information necessary for a user to make a selection matching their application needs. It is expected that additional information will be needed from the factory or local sales representative concerning the use of ITEC products. You are encouraged to contact your local representative or the factory directly should you have any selection or application questions.

When ordering include: A part number of the item along with the voltage, ratio, accuracy class and application needs for meter or relay use. Note: ITEC products are 60 Hz unless otherwise specified.

Mechanical requirements must be identified at time of order to insure trouble free installation.

In the case of power devices or monitoring products an indication of accuracy / regulation and power handling capability is needed.

Also, include any reference numbers if your needs are similar to an existing unit, but with different performance or physical needs.
